It was my pleasure to represent Branch 274 in Washington DC from April 17-19, 2024. On Thursday, April 18, we met with Susan Wild to discuss letter carrier issues that are important to all of us! Susan signed onto four of our NALC bills! We thanked Susan for her continued support and all her work with our letter carriers!

Later that day, we stopped and thanked Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick for his support to letter carriers and also signing onto NALC bills.

Lastly, we met with John Fetterman's rep to discuss all the NALC bills at length. She stated Congressman Fetterman always supports letter carriers and will review our information before signing onto any bills.

Our trip concluded on Friday morning when NALC President Brian Renfroe spoke shortly for about 45 minutes. NALC President Ted Lee, of Pittsburgh Branch 84 asked President Renfroe for a contract update. President Renfroe stated the NALC is trying to schedule the national arbitration as soon as possible, but the USPS is kicking their feet. He also stated that once arbitration starts, it should conclude fairly quickly, but that there could be an agreement as he is still meeting with the USPS weekly.
